The Secret Lair Showdown is a premiere tournament series found only at MagicCons! The competition is big but the prizes are bigger! The winner of this tournament series receives an exclusive Brainstorm Secret Lair Card and an oversized card to match.
MagicCon: Barcelona has 4 Secret Lair Showdown Qualifiers with invites for the Secret Lair Showdown Championship. If you are part of the top 8 of a Secret Lair Showdown Qualifier you will be invited to compete in the Secret Lair Showdown Championship.
Secret Lair Showdown Qualifiers
Tournament Details
Format: Modern
Rounds: Max of 7, 50-minute Swiss rounds based on attendance.
Rules Enforcement Level: Competitive. Decklists required.
Estimated Length: 5 to 7 Hours.
Additional Information
If a player has already qualified for the Secret Lair Showdown during that MagicCon they cannot play in another qualifier during that weekend. Please speak to a Pastimes representative if this becomes an issue and we will get you a refund for your other entries.
This event will be run on melee.gg and will require paper decklists.
Prizes
Participation: Fatal Push Secret Lair Showdown Exclusive Card
1st-8th: Invitation to the Secret Lair Showdown on Sunday.
9th-16th: Two (2) The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Set Booster Boxes and a Secret Lair.
17th-32nd: One (1) The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Set Booster Box and a Secret Lair.
33rd-64th: Fifteen (15) The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Set Boosters.
Note: Secret Lairs will be different based on bracket. 9th-16th will receive a different Secret Lair than 17th-32nd and so on.

Tournament Details
Format: Modern
Rounds: 5 Single Elimination rounds.
Rules Enforcement Level: Competitive. Decklists from qualifiers will be used.
Estimated Event Length: 5 to 6 Hours.

2nd: A Secret Lair.
3rd-4th: A Secret Lair.
5th-8th: A Secret Lair.
9th-16th: A Secret Lair.
17th-32nd: A Secret Lair.
Note: Secret Lairs will be different based on bracket. 2nd will receive a different Secret Lair than 3rd-4th and so on. The value of these Secret Lairs will be higher than the Qualifiers.
